Beer Advocate Presents “Night of the Funk”

That’s right folks, if you’re in or around the Boston area this weekend, expect to get funky.
Beer Advocate is throwing its “Night of the Funk” Belgian Beer fest on Friday October 26th, with even more beers expected on Saturday.
Over 40 beers on Friday and more than 100 on Saturday, expect this event to be a good one. In addition to the plethora of beers that will be available, the event will also showcase some wonderful food pairings and guest speakers from some of the contributing breweries.
“The concept for Night of the Funk is to highlight beers that are spontaneously fermented via the open air, infected during maturation in the barrel, purposely inoculated with wild yeast strains and bacteria, or involve some other funky ingredient or technique. Many are aged in wood vessels for long periods of time, but we’re awakening them for your drinking pleasure on this special night!”
The event is being held at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts (539 Tremont Street - Boston, MA). Visit Beer Advocate for more information and to purchase tickets.
