My good pals over at Flying Dog Brewery sent us some info about there spring seasonals; take it away Neal!

First, we are happy to announce the release of our 4th member of our Canis Major Series, Kerberos (ker-burr-os) Tripel. Kerberos is a bottle conditioned Belgian-style Strong Ale that weighs in at 8.5% ABV. It’s brewed with Pilsner and Aromatic malts and Golding and Saaz hops, yielding a deep golden to light copper in color.

We recommend pairing Kerberos with poultry, creamy cheeses, fruit pastries or crème brulee. Being that Kerberos is part of the Canis Major Series, it will be available year-round in 4-packs, and 1/6 bbls.

With Kerberos joining our Gonzo Imperial Porter, Double Dog Double Pale Ale and Horn Dog Barley Wine, we thought it made sense to introduce a Canis Major Mixed Pack. Coming early this Summer, we will be offering a new Canis Major Mixed 4-pack, containing one of each style.

We are really excited about this new package and think it makes for a great way to sample four extreme beers with one purchase. We have enclosed a sample of the 4-pack carrier so you can get an idea of what it will look like on the shelf.

Finally, we are very proud of our showing at the 2008 World Beer Cup. We came away with three awards in total:

  • GOLD AWARD: Gonzo Imperial Porter – American-style Imperial Stout
  • SILVER AWARD: Old Scratch Amber Lager – Amber Lager
  • GOLD AWARD: Wild Goose IPA – English-style IPA

Thanks for the news guys, keep up the good work!
