About Cure for What Ales You

The Story

Cure For What Ales You is the brain child of Eric Hebert and Paul Fenlon, partners of the online media firm evolvor media. Our group goal has been to create a site that provides reviews, critiques, resources, news, and more to a broad audience that may or may not know much about craft breweries and their beers.

Through this craft beer website, the Cure For What Ales You staff aims to stimulate people who have been interested in craft brewing for quite some time as well as those who have only tried a microbrew or two.

The Cure For What Ales You website is for anyone, college age or older, who are currently, or may be in the future, interested in craft brews from Europe, America, and the world. Our visitors could include a 65 year old gentleman who has been drinking delicious beers for the last 20+ years, or even a young lady who just turned 21 years old and may have only tasted her friends' craft beers on occasion. The idea is to provide a place to learn, share, and just plain have fun!

The Founders

Paul Fenlon

Paul is a Computer Science major at the University of Delaware.

He has had an ever-growing passion for craft beers since he turned 21. Before that, he was always interested in beers his father would bring home. His father always had a great taste for craft beers, which is one of the reasons Paul has a passion for beer today.

Mr. Fenlon has worked at State Line Liquors in Elkton, MD off and on over the last couple years. State Line has been voted in the top 100 liquor store in the world! So check them out!

Paul's favorite beer styles in no particular order are: Belgian Tripel, Belgian Dubbel, German Wheat Beer, and India Pale Ale.

Eric Hebert

Eric Hebert is the founder and music marketing consultant of Evolvor Media, an internet marketing and web development firm located in Newark, DE.

Eric's interest in craft beer began after becoming employed at the local Iron Hill Brewery, where he learned to appreciate the fine art that is beer. Before he thought beer was just beer; now he knew that an entire sub-culture of beer enthusiasts existed that was very passionate about their craft. In addition, he became fascinated with the pairing of beer with food, as he tends to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. It was here that Eric was introduced to the Pale Ale, an event that changed the world we live in today.

Eric is a big fan of the IPA's, Porters and Stouts. He laughs in the face of men who drink anything else.

John Berry

John graduated from the University of Delaware where he majored in English and minored in Economics.

Since becoming a legal beer drinker, John became increasingly dissatisfied with normal American macrobreweries and their flavorless products. He tried new beers and new beer styles any chance he got and eventually landed a job at the original Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant in Newark, DE. Both trying new beer on his own and working at Iron Hill have allowed John's knowledge and appreciation of craft beers to mature greatly over the past few years

Some beers that John enjoys the most include Weizenbocks, IPA's, Belgian Tripels, and Imperial Stouts.

Sean Naughton

Sean, is a part time construction worker, part time student at the University of Delaware, and full time good guy. Both his knowledge and his taste for craft beers have been fermenting (pun intended) through out the latter part of his college career.

Besides drinking and discussing beer, Sean has two very basic, mysterious talents that he will reveal if questioned. He would describe his love for good beers the same way he would his love for music: as an unquenchable thirst that drives him to seek out and experience a vast array of genres without regard for outside opinions.

Along with merlot and whiskey, the types of beers that make up Sean's favorite alchohols are pale ales and barley wines.

Heidi Derr

Heidi is an all-grain homebrewer who also enjoys making wine and meads.

She began brewing at home with her father at the tender age of eight, and has been brewing with her husband, David, for the last three years.

Heidi has also worked as a professional assistant brewer at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Newark, Delaware, under the tutelage of Justin Sproul.
